3 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Trekking Safari entails a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park for a memorable up-close face to face interface with the chimpanzees that are the closest mankind relatives upholding 98% of human DNA with their social, intelligent and communication skills during Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale. Kibale Forest National Park boasts of around 1,500 chimpanzee population concentration and other 12 primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and L’Hoest’s monkeys that can be spotted on the way, making it the most popular and well-known destination for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. During this safari, you will be able to trek Chimps in their groups on foot in Kibale Forest, bird watching and village walks in Bigodi communities.
Detailed travel Package
Day 1: Pick up from hotel in Kampala/Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Pick up from the hotel in Kampala/Entebbe Airport by our tour guide/drive with a briefing about the tour and transfer to Fort Portal at land of primates Kibale Forest National Park in about 5 to 6 hours’ drive from Kampala. Relaxation and Lunch in Fort Portal then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park. Upon arrival, we will clear with the necessary entrance fees, check-in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary:
Early in the morning after breakfast at the lodge, our tour guide shall pick you up and transfer you to the Park headquarters in Kanyanchu for a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking then you will head out to the jungle with a park ranger to do chimpanzee trekking where you will spend time observing primates and chimps in particular in their natural habitats with 1 hour grant for up close interface and photo taking thereafter the park ranger will guide back to the starting point. Relaxation and lunch at the lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, home to variety of birds and primate species which will take you amazingly 2 hours thrilling the 4.5 KM long swamp walk. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Return to Kampala or transfer to Entebbe international Airport for a flight back home.
On the last day, you will exit Kibale Forest National Park after breakfast and embark on a drive back to Kampala or head to Entebbe international Airport for a flight back home.
